Zach McCulloch Update - 12/10/2008 - Blessings Continue!

Right now I have Roy Rogers singing "We're Back in the Saddle Again" running through my head. We could not get all of Zachary's scans done until yesterday but we do have the results. The coveted No Evidence of Disease has been offered to us and we feel blessed. God hears everyone's prayers as we feel them as well.

We love sharing this news with everyone BUT (and it is a very big BUT not SIR MIX ALOT big "I can't deny" but big none the less.) This is the second time we have been awarded the coveted No Evidence of Disease or NED for short. We then were awarded the, you have relapsed award thus canceling out the first trophy. We are glad now to have the upper hand and have learned from our first award to forever be on watch. We can never fully relax but we all know that this is what we go through this barbaric process for. It is a tough award to win but needless to say we have done it twice.

Today we are sitting at Loyola Hospital in the surgery waiting area. Zachary is having the reconstruct of his head, neck and stomach done today. This is a happy day. Returning Zach to closer to whole than he has been for what seems like forever. There you go we are blessed again. We know so many of you, nay all of you that follow Zach through this journey rejoice in our news. Right now he has been in surgery for about an hour and everything is going to plan. We pray the God guides the surgeons hand and fills him with the spirit of excellence and purpose.

We pray that this also happens for all the other families that have loved ones that are facing long odds. Lives change no matter what there is no going back to a world that is carefree.

Prayers for everyone and we will update again soon....

Love,

Kevin, Paula, James, Zachary, Gage and Sierra (the one who single handedly keeps 3 goofy brothers in check)
