Zach McCulloch Update - 10/26/2008 - 3 Weeks To Go!

Zach just finished 2 straight weeks of Irrinotecan (with a Vincristine push) Man I tell you what. This man is tough!! He is worn down, but refuses to let it keep him down. You will see Zach out and about in the community almost everyday, even though he feels lousy. Say hi when you see him. He has been at most of the Plainfield North High School football games this year. Sundays are for the Chicago Bears (sorry Zach, bye week, maybe you can put away the lawn furniture).

Zach now has a week off and then will do 2 more weeks of the aforementioned chemotherapy. This is the end of this protocol, as the FRENCH say FINIS (or is cest dommage?).

We look forward with much anticiation for December then. This is when more surgery occurs. This is the reconstruct. I think Zach is gorgeous no matter what but we know that this is necessary.

Not much more to say.

We pray for all the families that have lost their loved ones over these past few weeks. Danny Zabicki http://www.carepages.com/carepages/dannyzab and Elizabeth Doxey http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/elizabethdoxey.

We pray for our pirate buddy Diego Fuentes http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/diegofuentes

We pray for Jakob Aldrichhttp://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jake (who is using the maintenance protocol that Zach starts next year).

Extra special warm wishes this week to Jeremy Campus http://www.carepages.com/carepages/JeremyCampus9 and Team Meiners (Amy & Matt) http://www.carepages.com/carepages/TeamMeiners. These are our Chicagoland heroes that give us hope and inspiration.

We have not forgotten everyone else, there are so many we thank for the strength to keep going.
Thanks to the heavenly father for his guidance and showing us that blessings occur every moment of everyday.

Love,

Kevin, Paula, James, Zachary, Gage and Sierra
